The Story Behind the Tee

The story 2024 season kicked off with success for Carlos as he finished on the podium in Bahrain behind the two Red Bull drivers. In a year where Sainz jr. knew he needed to find a seat for the following season, things couldn't have started much better...

However, things quickly deteriorated as the Spaniard was diagnosed with appendicitis after FP1 of the Saudi grand prix just a week later and ruled out of the race by Friday. With Sainz' season in jeopardy, the race was on to get back to fitness and back in the car. 

No one could have predicted what happened next. 

With the potential for weeks out and countless points dropped, the former Red Bull junior made a stunning recovery and returned for the next race in Melbourne in P2, just 16 days after surgery! 

Following this incredible achievement by Sainz Jr., just getting through the race and scoring some points would have been a miracle realised. BUT, when Verstappen retired in the opening laps, the unthinkable was on.

Carlos flew past the hobbling Red Bull and the rest is history. 

Citing "Life is a Rollercoaster", Carlos marked a monumental win for himself and the Prancing Horse, celebrating champagne-soaked style and surrounded by those in the iconic Ferrari red.
